3WLogic to Expand Broadband Internet Service

Local company is delivering wireless high speed broadband to North Central WV

BUCKHANNON - West Virginia's largest wireless internet provider, 3WLogic, today announced its expansion into Weston. 3WLogic’s parent company, Micrologic, Inc., has been owned and operated in WV for over 15 years.

The decision to expand into Lewis County was based on a recent deal that the company made with WVU Jackson’s Mill to provide high speed wireless internet service for the entire campus. The Buckhannon-based Internet service provider already has towers in Upshur, Randolph, Marion, Harrison, and Barbour counties.

“We are aggressively expanding to cover all of North Central West Virginia” President Emiel Butcher said. “This is just one more step in meeting that goal.”
In addition to high speed Internet, Butcher said that the company is offering Digital Phone service in portions of their coverage area. In the near future, all of 3WLogic’s regions will have digital phone service. With this new offering, residential customers will have broadband Internet and free local and long distance telephone calls for just under $50. Commercial bundles for Internet and Digital Phone services will also be available.

Butcher also stated, "By using leading edge technology wisely, we can help to break down the geographic barriers that have often hindered rural areas of our state. I am pleased that our company along with business and non-profit communities are joining together to get quality internet access in rural WV and I am eager to see the results."
